John M. Breen

Since joining Casetrax as CEO in November of 2020, John has been responsible for Casetrax’s strategy and the company’s overall success. As an experienced medical device and healthcare professional, John brings his experience leading teams in sales, and operations to Casetrax. John has extensive healthcare management background in the hospital, ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and physician practice environment.

John Breen began his operating room career as a sales professional where he spent over 25 years in the medical device industry. He was the owner and Principal Distributor of Consilium Medical from 2012 -2019. Consilium Medical was a medical device distributorship specializing in spinal implants, with exclusive rights to sell K2M spinal implants and biologics in Georgia. In 2019 K2M, Group Holdings was acquired by Stryker Corporation. During his medical device career, John has held several sales, sales management and national account management positions. He began his medical device career in Chicago, IL with Horizon Medical Products (HMP) as a sales rep, then he opened the Midwest market and ran Midwest sales as sales manager for HMP. HMP (now Angio-Dynamics) was based in Atlanta, GA which brought John to Atlanta from Chicago. John left HMP to join a web-based medical products start-up e-commerce company called eSurg (acquired by Henry Schein Medical).

In 2002 John returned to the operating room setting when he joined Synthes Spine as an AO/ASIF Sales Consultant. While at Synthes Spine, John was a President’s Club winner 9 out of the 9 years that he spent with Synthes. He primarily worked with Neurologic, Orthopedic, General, and Thoracic surgeons. John also spent significant time assisting Interventional Radiologists. Mr. Breen holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
